Kevin S. Garrity, Founder and CEO of Garrity Innovation, Inc. and the Squeeze Pod brand, has embraced innovation since his childhood days when his father, Paul, pioneered the first disposable cigarette lighter, the Garrity Dispoz-a-lite. He witnessed the enthusiasm from consumers as they embraced innovation. In 1976 Kevin graduated from Bates College and joined the family business, Garrity Industries, Inc., which grew to be the 2nd largest manufacturer of flashlights and lanterns in North America. In 2006, Garrity Industries, Inc. was sold to the Duracell Division of Proctor and Gamble.

As president of Garrity Industries, Kevin logged more than 4 million air miles traveling the globe. Recognizing the growing inconvenience of traveling, Mr. Garrity saw the need for a compact, convenient, portable, leak-proof package (Pod) that would make traveling with toiletries easier. This realization, combined with his passion to innovate, along with perseverance and faith, created the birth of Squeeze Pod, the perfect solution for travel convenience.

Kevin’s mantra is “Every problem creates a new opportunity”; his ability to continuously overcome challenges provides innumerable exciting opportunities in business and in life.
