BEING HAPPY NOW!!!

Being right feeds your ego.

Being happy feeds your soul.

Happiness is the difference between being right and doing right!

You cannot control an ecstatic person; it is impossible. You can control only a miserable person. An ecstatic person is bound to be free. Ecstasy is freedom. When you are ecstatic, you cannot be reduced to being a slave. You cannot be destroyed so easily; you cannot be persuaded to live in a prison.” – Osho

MADISON CONNECTICUT HAPPINESS CLUB

Our next presentation is: Soul Expansion (Realize Your Radiance through Kundalini) by Jennifer Greenwald.
Kundalini is your life force energy. It is the essence of what makes you YOU. Kundalini is an effective tool to help you expand your consciousness and awareness for a deeper connection with Spirit. It helps you to move beyond self-imposed limitations and live in your highest potential. It is pure energy that ignites healing on the physical and emotional levels. Essentially, Kundalini is a dynamic system of breath-work, movement, meditation, and mantra that delivers you to a greater awareness of Self and the Infinite.
As Yogi Bhajan, the great master of kundalini yoga, said, “Kundalini is the science to unite the finite with Infinity, and it’s the art to experience Infinity in the finite.”
Included in this presentation:
* a brief history of kundalini yoga and it’s benefits
* light kundalini movement and breathing techniques to experience kundalini energy flowing through you
* understanding the power of mantra
* learn an ancient mantra and meditate in Oneness
* understanding music and sound as a healing modality
** Pete Onofrio will be accompanying the presentation with thoughtful explanations on sound healing as well as offering live music during the mantra meditation.
In a world where we can easily be pulled off center by external influences, Jennifer encourages individuals to re-center and reconnect to their inner voice. She believes our main purpose is to transform darkness into light in order to live rich and radiant lives.
Jennifer received a BA in Education from Florida Atlantic University. Education remains a central focus for Jennifer as she follows her passion for spiritual and holistic living. She received her health coach training from the renowned Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is also a certified Reiki 1 practitioner and has trained along side Gabriel Bernstein when completing her level 2 Spirit Junkie training.
Jennifer’s central focus and intense training has been in the kundalini yoga lineage. She continually trains with master teachers Ravi Singh and Ana Brett in the revolutionary style of kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. She has over 500 hours of teacher training and considers herself an eternal student and teacher of Kundalini yoga, which is the basis of her spiritual teaching. She delivers her classes, workshops and coaching sessions with a little humor and a whole lotta soul.

HARTFORD HAPPINESS CLUB, HARTFORD, CT

Presents: “Choose Happiness,” with Lisa Brown. Lisa is a positive psychology life coach, passionate about helping individuals and couples lead happier lives by unearthing and tapping into their strengths, values and desires. Years ago, while in a challenging marriage, Lisa found herself searching to learn how to be happier. Rather than focusing on what wasn’t working in her life through traditional therapy, she knew she wanted to give herself permission to dream about who she could be at her best. Lisa studied positive psychology with Tal Ben Shahar, through Wholebeing Institute. She experienced firsthand the lessons and life-changing tools the science of happiness provides. She found the courage and strength to create a life where she is free to shine. From the personal success of her own journey, Lisa is dedicated to helping others discover the joy and fulfillment that comes from living a life of gratitude, self-validation and self-worth. In Lisa’s own words; “Positive psychology taught me that almost half of my happiness is within my immediate control. I choose to work that half like an athlete, because feeling good, feels great.” Lisa coaches one on one, conducts empowering workshops, teaches the proven tools and lessons positive psychology offers, and mentors new coaches striving for success. Recently, Lisa has expanded her reach through webinars and public speaking. Lisa is certified in positive psychology, a certified professional positive psychology life coach, ELI MP (Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner), and specializes in relationships; always starting with the one we have with ourselves.

The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it. ~Eckhart Tolle

Through humorous anecdotes, that include, of all things, a garage door and dirty dishes, Lisa Brown will have you feeling better from the inside out. We all have something that gnaws at us, frustrates us, or we feel badly about. Now, let’s shift those negative feelings to positive feelings. Lisa will help you learn to lift that weight from you’re your shoulders, to make your daily life more pleasant. We can increase and create happiness through our thoughts. Lisa’s approach is realistic; she will help you develop the skills to be aware of the thought that create negative feelings, and to convert them to positive ones. She will tell you, “If you don’t like how you feel about something change your thought!”

We may not be able to make every situation rosy but we can certainly find a way to feel better. When all else fails, use Lisa’s secret weapon: LAUGH! www.LisaBrownLifeCoach.com

We hold weekly meetings on Fridays from 2:30 – 4:30 PM in a lovely residence in Greenwich, CT.

HAPPINESS AND GOODNESS CLUB, WHITE PLAINS, NY

Get ready to get happier simply by talking about happiness! We’ll be in the cafe. Look for our red Meetup sign. Please feel free to arrive late or leave early. It’s great if you can RSVP in advance, but in case you can’t, come anyway. As a reminder, this group has two goals. The first is to explore the relationship between happiness and goodness. The second, much more fun, goal is for us to become much happier just by getting together and talking about happiness. The theory behind this second goal comes from a classic psychology study showing that by simply talking regularly about happiness we can become much happier.
While we’ll depart from them whenever and however much we may wish, like by talking about gratitude, acts of kindness, meditation and other happiness techniques, the following list of 14 topics will serve as a backdrop for our discussions.
Here’s some background on the research our group is based on. In 1980 three New Zealand researchers found that after eight 2-hour conversation sessions about happiness over four weeks, their subjects reported a 22 percent increase in their happiness. Continuing their twice-weekly sessions, by the sixteenth week they reported being 42 percent happier. This group has too many meetings each month to list. Please go on the Meetup link below to learn more.

PEOPLE WHO NEED PEOPLE, WHITE PLAINS, NY

People Who Need People – Exploring Relationships
http://www.meetup.com/People-Who-Need-People-Exploring-Relationships/ ;;;;;;
Hi Everyone, I’m writing to let you know I’ve just started a new group called People Who Need People – Exploring Relationships. It will meet each 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Barnes and Nobel in White Plains, New York. Here are some of the details:
First, our events are always free, it’s okay to arrive late or leave early, and rsvping isn’t absolutely necessary to attend our meetings.
A very dear friend once told me that life is about relationships. This twice-a-month Meetup is mostly about those who mean the most to us – our family, our romantic partner, and our friends. It is also about our co-workers and acquaintances, and about those special people we have yet to meet. Since about 90 percent of us here in the U.S. believe in God, or a higher power, it is also about our relationship with this power. Last, but certainly not least, it’s also about our relationship with ourselves.
Our group is really about our becoming happier. Why? Because decade after decade, as researchers have ask tens of thousands of us what our main source of happiness is, our number one answer has always been “other people.”
So, we’ll talk about how to best enjoy our relationships, how to improve those that need improving, how to get new ones started, and how to make our lives richer and happier by getting better and better at giving the people in our lives the consideration and attention that they, and we, deserve.
