BIOGRAPHY

Kevin Ryan is a first generation American and the fourth of seven children. An early childhood learning disability influenced the development of a unique life path that continues to contribute to an ever-expanding lived experience! Kevin will share a story of being a member of a strong work ethic household combined with the feeling of being a stranger in a strange land! Today, with over 29,000 sunrises booked, Kevin believes that life is an adventure to be enjoyed and shared! Kevin’s gifts include a natural curiosity for how things work combined with a strong commitment to community service all delivered with an infectious laugh! The Wisdom Road Adventure Project was established in 2019 as a vehicle to capture lived experiences of individuals older than 80 years of age.

Kevin’s personal story moves from a near high school dropout at 16 years to a corporate officer of a New York Stock Exchange listed Corporation by age 30 and then on to a series of new business ventures culminating in a return to university to secure a certification in Gerontology at 76 years of age; come prepared to hear the twists and turns that will inspire you to reach for new heights at any age!

Kevin incorporates the pragmatic engineering approach with an extraordinary embrace of servant leadership that will inspire listeners to create their personal Wisdom Road Adventure.

As part of the CCSU Gerontology Certification curriculum, Kevin completed an extensive internship at the West Hartford Senior Center and continues to volunteer as co facilitator for the Friends for Older Adults discussion series. He also serves as a member of the West Hartford Senior Citizens Advisory Commission and is active as co-chair of the Age-Appropriate Housing Project

Kevin is a dad, a stepdad, and a granddad. He enjoys visiting a wide range of nieces and nephews and is the uncle in residence for all repair issues!
