Deepening Your Joy of Living Every Day

Together we will explore how to deepen our joy in living. We will slow down and take time to smell the roses as we consider creative and practical tools to enhance happiness. My approach is collaborative, lighthearted and playful. There will be surprises! In our time together I will invite you to share and risk being your authentic self in a safe supportive space and I promise to do the same. We will improvise and laugh together as we explore how to deepen our joy. We shall voyage forth with this serious goal: more happiness and more joy every day! As Milton Erickson, the psychotherapist of renown from whom I have learned so much, once said: “Life will bring you pain all by itself, your responsibility is to find joy.” We will connect to the importance of beauty and love via poetry, music, and stories. In my presentation designed especially for The Happiness Club I will draw on my adventures as a life coach, poet, philosopher, opera singer, athlete, traveler, and parent.

BIOGRAPHY

Glenn Alpert was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. For decades he enjoyed a successful singing career with the Metropolitan Opera Chorus, where he performed solos alongside Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, and other internationally known artists. In 2020 Glenn launched his life coaching practice in New York City and in Narrowsburg, NY. He presents workshops and interactive events and continues to perform in public and private settings. Glenn draws on his adventures as a poet, philosopher, life coach, opera singer, athlete, collector, traveler, and parent. He holds a Master of Science, (MS) in Counseling, from Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, CT. and a Bachelor of Arts, (BA) in Liberal Arts, from Wagner College. Glenn lives in New York City and in Narrowsburg, New York.
