Florinda Ferguson is the principle Mover & Shaker at Trifecta Body ™, LLC. Throughout her professional life she has energized students, trained teachers, and inspired clients to

Florinda’s integrated and dynamic approach to creating a holistic “well” body has its roots in her early cultural and academic life. She was born in NYC and raised in New Haven, CT. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Connecticut, a Master of Education and Leadership in Teaching from Boston College, and is a National Endowment for the Humanities Scholar (Paris, France).
After relocating from Boston to West Hartford in 2001, Florinda developed her craft as an instructor/trainer at The Center Studio, The Fitness Continuum, and as a Master Trainer at New York Sports Clubs. She founded Trifecta Body ™ in 2012, where she teaches her Movement with a Message ™ philosophy. Florinda is nationally certified as a Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), by Balanced Body in Barre, Pilates Mat & Pilates Movement Principles (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced), and in Pilates Reformer (Levels 1, 2 and 3). Additionally, she has nearly 2 decades of training experience in spinning, group fitness, golf fitness, boxing fitness, core conditioning, stabilization & strength training, senior fitness & wellness, prenatal and post natal fitness, and foundations of movement.
Florinda credits her mentor, Joy Puleo (BodyWise, NY & Balanced Body), in guiding her through best practice teaching and instruction. She is grateful for the support of her colleagues, Sharon McSpeddon (PilatesBarreCore, Ridgefield, CT) & Zayna Gold (Boston Body Barre) and all of their experience and wisdom. Terri Walsh (Celebrity Trainer & Founder of A.R.T. Method, NYC), has additionally been a source of advice and learning for Florinda. She attributes much of her skill in cueing bodywork and its adaptation to the contemporary environment, to these amazing women. Florinda has also been influenced by the work of Burr Leonard (Founder, The Bar Method), Mike Boyle (Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning), and Justin Price (The Biomechanics Method).
Recently, she has been working with her coach Vito LaFata, to develop visionary programming to teach awareness & practice of well -being and well-doing. Her newest program, Clean Your Life Plate, launches this summer.
Florinda believes ultimately that form is paramount, and that “it
is better to do few beautifully well, than more poorly” ~ Joseph Pilates.
She resides in West Hartford, CT with her active family and strongly believes in what she is often overheard saying to clients, who inspire her every day:
